Glee hots up with gay kisses

Glee is hotting up next season with gay character Kurt experiencing his first on-screen kiss.

Actor Chris Colfer revealed to E! Online that he would be “fine" with the prospect of having a kiss on the series.

He explained: “I don’t know how middle America would feel about it, but if it’s done in a tasteful way [it wouldn’t be a problem for me]”

Colfer hopes his kiss will make an impact and added: “I want it to be very cute and have people go, ‘Aww!”’

The character will also find himself a boyfriend, the show’s executive producer Ryan Murphy announced.

But we remain in the dark with regard to who will be playing Kurt’s boyfriend, as Colfer is keeping his lips sealed.

He joked: “I can’t say anything without getting in trouble these days.”

Kurt isn’t the only character to get romantic this season, as Murphy confirmed that cheerleaders Brittany and Santana are also set to lock lips.

The second season of Glee is aired in the US on September 21st on Fox and will be shown later in the UK.

Three of Glee's characters will also be donning a yellow complexion on the latest season premiere of The Simpsons next month.

The episode sees a four-fingered Rachel, Finn and Mercedes joining Lisa at a summer performing arts camp.
