Συνταγή για 2 άτομα

Υλικά:
4 κουταλιές της σούπας μαγιονέζα
2 κουταλιές της σούπας μουστάρδα
6 φέτες λευκό ψωμί (κατά προτίμηση του τετράγωνου σχήματος)
1 κουταλιά της σούπας βούτυρο
2 φύλλα μαρουλιού
2 φέτες τυρί τσένταρ (cheddar)
4 φέτες ζαμπόν γαλοπούλας
2 φέτες ντομάτας
4 φέτες μπέικον
2 αυγά
Αλάτι
Προετοιμασία:
Πρώτα βάζουμε τα αυγά σε ένα κατσαρολάκι με νερό και βράζουμε μέχρι να σφήξουν καλά (περίπου 10 λεπτά).
Στη συνέχεια σε ένα μικρό μπολ ανακατέψτε τη μαγιονέζα και τη μουστάρδα μέχρι να ενωθούν καλά. Φρυγανίστε το ψωμί και ενώσω είναι ακόμη ζεστό αλείψτε ένα αρκετό μείγμα μαγιονέζας στην μια πλευρά κάθε φέτας.
Τοποθετήστε ένα αντικολλητικό τηγάνι σε μέτρια φωτιά λιώσετε το βούτυρο. Στη συνέχεια, προσθέστε το ζαμπόν γαλοπούλας και το μπέικον, ολόκληρα και τσιγαρίστε τα ελαφρά και από τις δύο πλευρές. Αφαιρέστε πριν γίνουν τραγανιστά και στραγγίξετε σε χαρτί κουζίνας. Βάλτε τα αυγά σε κρύο νερό για λίγο και ξεφλουδίστε τα. Κόψτε τα αυγά σε χοντρές φέτες και αλατίστε.
Αρχίστε να στήνετε το πρώτο σάντουιτς βάζοντας μια φέτα φρυγανισμένο ψωμί σε ένα πιάτο με την πλευρά με το μίγμα μαγιονέζας προς τα πάνω. Ακολούθως τοποθετήστε επάνω, 1 φύλλο μαρούλι, 1 φέτα τυρί, 2 φέτες ζαμπόν γαλοπούλας, και μια φέτα ψωμί, με το μείγμα μαγιονέζας προς τα κάτω.
Αλείψτε το επάνω μέρος του ψωμιού με το μείγμα μαγιονέζας και συνεχίστε το στίσιμο του σάντουιτς. Απλώστε πρώτα τις φέτες του ενός από τα αυγά, και μετά 2 φέτες μπέικον, 1 φέτα ντομάτα, και μια φέτα ψωμιού με το μείγμα μαγιονέζας προς τα κάτω.
Στερεώστε με τέσσερις οδοντογλυφίδες και κόψτε σε τρίγωνα.
Ακολουθήστε την ίδια διαδικασία στησίματος και για το δεύτερο σάντουιτς. Σερβίρετε με μερικά πατατάκια (τσιπς) και ..... Καλή Όρεξη!

Lesbians speak up – we can’t see you
Name some high-profile gay British men. It can be celebrities, musicians, actors, presenters, politicians, whomever you wish. Now try and do the same thing with lesbians. The likelihood is that the second list is noticeably smaller. One only has to look at the big screen, the small screen and the media to see that there is a distinct lack of openly gay women in the public eye.
The ones who are are few and far between: Sue Perkins, Clare Balding, Sarah Waters, for example. So why is it that lesbians are so invisible? A quick look through the archives of the Independent on Sunday’s Pink List reveals there has never been a female in the top spot of ‘the most influential gay and lesbian people in Britain’ rankings. In fact, there are several instances when a woman isn’t even in the top ten. For example, in 2007, only Sandi Toksvig makes the top 20 at number 18.
Is it that lesbians purposefully shy away from attention about their personal lives and operate under the radar, or is that they are deterred from being open about their sexuality because of discrimination and dominant social norms? Or do television and the media dictate an agenda that under-represents gay women?
PinkNews.co.uk spoke to four gay women, all with differing profiles and levels of responsibility – the actress and musician Heather Peace, the Conservative MP Margot James, the feminist and journalist Julie Bindel and co-founder of the Ministry of Defence’s LGBT group Sandra Docking – and asked why they believe lesbians are lacking visibility in today’s society.
“There’s no question that lesbians aren’t visible enough, especially if you make comparisons with gay men,” says Bindel. “Both in the public eye and in real life. You can go to some towns in England and there are virtually no visible lesbians at all. It’s an absolute disgrace.”
Bindel believes it is harder for women to come out because women in general, regardless of sexuality, are more tied to traditional notions of femininity. “There are few women able to be seen as human beings without a specific label,” she says.
Heather Peace, who starred in the BBC3 drama Lip Service, has forged a successful career as an actress and now a musician. She was the only gay actress in the show, despite it being about the lives of a group of lesbians living in Glasgow, and it has brought her a large lesbian following. “I’m under no illusion that before Lip Service, I’d have about 40 people at gigs, and now I’m selling out nationwide tours,” she says.
But being open about her sexuality required courage: “I was never in the closet as such, but I would actively ensure I didn’t do the kind of press coverage that would require me to talk about relationships because I didn’t want to lie about it, and I also didn’t want to talk about my girlfriend because I thought it would affect my acting

Police appeal over anti-gay attack in Woking
Police are appealing for more information about a homophobic attack in Woking last month.
A gay male couple were attacked in the incident, which took place on Monday April 18th at around 11.20pm.
Police say the couple were set upon in Church Street East near the Martian statue by three suspects – two men and a woman.
They were targeted with anti-gay abuse before one of the suspects pushed one of the victims in the chest. He then fell to the ground and was punched repeatedly by both men.
When his partner tried to stop the attack, the woman slapped him in the face.
The first suspect was described as a white male, 6ft 3ins tall, aged 18 years, of a thin build with short blonde hair.
He was clean-shaven and was wearing a brown and orange striped hooded top with the hood up and blue jeans.
The second man was described as white, 5ft 11ins tall, aged 19 years, and of a slim build.
He had striking blue eyes and curly ginger-blonde hair and was wearing a beige top.
The third suspect was described as a ‘plump’ white female, aged 16-17 years, 5ft 5 tall with brown hair worn in a bun. She was described as wearing heavy make-up and a burgundy or pink tracksuit.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Tony Maker said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and can help us identify the suspects to come forward straightaway and provide us with any information to assist our enquiry.
“Assaults of this nature will not be tolerated in our towns and we are hoping to identify those responsible and ensure they are brought to justice.”
