College Football’s Top 25 Hotties of 2010 – No. 3 Cade Foster

Although they will not repeat as national champions in 2010, the University of Alabama managed to place two players on TheSportsFag’s top 25 college football hotties of 2010. That’s got to be something head coach Nick Saban could scoreboard during recruiting, right?

At No. 3, freshman kicker Cade Foster isn’t your average kicker. Foster weighs in at 6-2 and 220 pounds, and he played linebacker and fullback at football power house Southlake Carroll high school. He runs a 4.6 40-yard dash and loves being the first man on special teams to reach the return man. This is a friggin kicker we’re talking about here!

Saban and the Tide were desperately seeking Cade after ranking 115th in the nation in return yards against (2005) in 2009. Foster’s 65-yard kickoff average and nine touchbacks are the main reason Alabama has shaved close to 500 yards off of the 2009 total this season.

Foster shared field goal duties with short-yardage specialist Jeremy Shelley. However, it was Foster’s big leg (sigh) that connected on 5-of-6 attempts of 40+.

The state of Alabama’s kicking is strong and will be for years to come.
