The Jacksonville State University Gamecocks, like their South Carolina brethren, lost last week. Unfortunately for Jack State, the loss occurred in the second round of the FCS playoffs, meaning their season is over. Besides being a total hottie, Blanchard is best known for his athleticism. As a senior at nearby Cherokee County high school in 2009, Blanchard won the state of Alabama’s Mr. Football Award, and in basketball and baseball he won the Anniston Star’s Area Player of the Year award.
Blanchard, who rotated quarterbacking duties with junior starter Marques Ivory, also played running back and played in all 12 games as a true freshman in 2010.
